Frequently asked questions
Our quotations are very comprehensive as to what we have included in your quotation price. They detail everything from the number of power points to allowances for finishes such as floor and wall tiles, for brick supply and beyond. We’re always happy to answer any questions you have about inclusions.
As a general rule, from the date we receive your drawings we work to have your full quotation ready within two working weeks.
From the time that building approval has been awarded, a knockdown/rebuild will generally take six months.
Not at all. We can step in at any stage of the design process and assist in the design of your home, whether you’re halfway through the process or yet to meet with a designer. It’s a good idea to have Shaw Living involved in the design process, as it enables us to guide you in a direction that will provide a finished home within your budget.
Our suite of existing designs is really just a starting point. It’s helpful for people looking for a quick and easy process, rather than starting a design from scratch. And we’re flexible. If you like certain parts of our designs we can always adapt them to suit your needs and your block. Alternatively we can arrange a one-off custom design and guide you through the process.
It depends on whether you’re building a small single storey or a large double storey house, but on average we schedule construction times between 18 and 20 weeks.
Throughout the construction process, your main point of contact will be our Customer Service Manager. Your Site Manager and our Residential Manager are also available for you to contact at any time for any questions or an update on the progress of your home.
